Al Bustan Scouts group roams the neighborhoods of Silwan and congratulates Eid
Al-Bustan scouts group toured Silwan from Wadi Hilweh Park near the Wall of Jerusalem and Bab al-Magharbeh through Ein Silwan, Bir Ayoub and Ein el-Louza until Wad Qadoum, congratulating the people of the town for Eid al-Adha. More than 80 members participated in the scout parade.
At the forefront of the scout march was the Chairman of Al-Bustan Association Silwan, Kutaybah Odeh, Scout leaders and a group of residents of the town who participated in the scout march spreading congratulations and greetings from the scouts group of Al-Bustan, raising flags and banners.
In his speech, Kutaybah Odeh congratulated the people of Jerusalem in general and the town of Silwan in particular for the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, saying that those children and young people are carrying their message of life, the right to joy and the right to exist on this land, chanting their chants and proving that they are as responsible as the Palestinian scout committed. He added that the town of Silwan at this stage needs scout ethics, and appreciating the meanings of volunteering and serving the homeland, calling for everyone to rally around AlBustan Scouts to support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem and preserve the Palestinian identity. He also thanked the Palestinian Civil Defense volunteers in Jerusalem for their efforts in accompanying the scouting march and organizing its progress, and “Sharikna” Youth Group as well.
